Architectural Overview

We were approached by the clients to design Phase 2 of the already-established Mbazo Safari Lodge, in Pilanesberg. The brief consisted of 5 units and a main entertainment space. The designs drew their inspiration from South Africa’s small 5, each unit of the units dedicated to one of its members, namely the Ant Lion, Buffalo Waver, Rhino Beetle, Elephant Shrew and Leopard Tortoise. Whereas the main building was inspired by the surrounding termite mounds on site.
