“Resting on one’s laurels” is a term the team of contemporary residential architects at Veld Architects have deleted from memory. Giving your personal best every single day is a goal the firm kicked the year off with, and it has been the on-going theme ever since.
“In the ever-evolving architecture industry where new design practices and innovative technologies are at the order of the day, one simply cannot fall behind,” says lead architect Gillian Holl. “We live in interesting and challenging times, and Covid-19 most definitely made our day-to-day operations more complex, but if I could highlight one characteristic each of our team of female architects share, that would be resilience. After the successes we achieved last year we realised we would need to work even harder to achieve more, and that’s what we set out to do.”
Veld Architects completed two contemporary residential properties this year, won two awards, was featured in three magazines and four television programmes, to mention a few. “I’m incredibly thankful for the acknowledgements we’ve received this year. Nothing can be achieved alone. I’m grateful for my team, our collaborators and the incredible contractors that are the expert hands behind our designs. Thank you also to our clients. For allowing us the freedom to really live what Veld Architects is all about: Creativity, sustainability, and the connecting of humans and nature in unique and fascinatingly beautiful ways.”
The team has recently celebrated their 12 000th follower on Instagram and Facebook and hope to create even more awareness for Veld and the Veld Lifestyle in the New Year.
“In 2022 our fans and followers can look forward to more artisanal collaborations, lifestyle curation products, many more features and one-of-a-kind projects.”
